WASHINGTON, D.C., Dec. 16, 2018—Keith and Kristyn Getty have sold out concerts at iconic concert halls along the East Coast as a part of their seventh annual  “Sing! An Irish Christmas” tour. For the fifth year in a row, the Gettys sold-out their concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC, Dec. 13 with special guests including guitar virtuoso Phil Keaggy, who together debuted an arrangement of the beloved Christmas hymn, “Silent Night” to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the sacred carol.

Other special guests at Carnegie Hall included: John Patitucci, American jazz bassist and composer; Sullivan Fortner, jazz pianist and composer; Andrew Nemr, tap dance artist, choreographer and educator and Tim Keller, best-selling author, theologian and founder of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, NY.

The Gettys, modern hymn-writers widely known for songs such as “In Christ Alone,” are bringing their Christmas tour to cities across America this holiday season to reinvigorate Christmas carol singing and engage in public conversation about the importance of upholding the rich heritage of these great hymns of the Christian faith. Earlier this year, Keith Getty was pinned by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to "music and modern hymn writing,” the first time the award had been given to an individual involved in the world of contemporary church music.

The Sing! An Irish Christmas Tour is exclusively sponsored by Christian Healthcare Ministries. Earlier this month, the tour enjoyed a sell-out run in its opening on the West Coast earlier this month, has grown to be one of the largest annual Christmas concert tours in the nation and has been broadcasted on public television to over 45 million households across the country. Sing! mixes traditional Irish, bluegrass, Americana, classical, jazz, global/world, Christmas and modern sounds to produce an original, eclectic blend of music, along with cultural Irish dance and plenty of caroling with the audience!
