B&H Inks Multi-Book Deal with Modern Hymn Writers Keith and Kristyn Getty

Nashville, Tenn. (October 3, 2016) -- B&H Publishing Group is pleased to announce that it has signed a multi-book deal with critically acclaimed modern hymn writing duo Keith and Kristyn Getty.

The first book will release in the summer of 2017. B&H will release a total of four books with the Gettys.

“We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with the LifeWay family as we enter now a new phase in developing our hymns for the contemporary church,” said Keith Getty. “B&H is the publishing company we have wanted to work with, and we are excited to build long and far-reaching projects with them.”

In re-inventing the traditional hymn form, the Gettys have created a catalogue of songs teaching Christian doctrine and crossing the genres of traditional, classical, folk and contemporary composition. Perhaps best known is “In Christ Alone” (written by Keith Getty with Stuart Townend), the #1 most-frequently-sung song in UK churches for the past nine consecutive years. The wider catalog includes some 60 songs among the top 2000 as tracked by CCLI, and music publishers estimate that 100 million people around the world sing their hymns in churches each year. 

Keith and Kristyn, originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, tour internationally including their annual “Irish Christmas” tour featured on public television in 2015 and presented in such prestigious halls as The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and many others.  The duo has recorded six albums including their most recent, Facing a Task Unfinished, whose June release was preceded by a global hymn sing wherein 1.1 million people in 5400+ churches in 100 countries joined on the same day to sing the title song.
